書き起こし
A two-panel comic page set in a dark, brick-walled interior lit by a lantern. A woman interacts with a small flowering apple tree in a wooden barrel, which is encircled by a glowing, luminous ribbon of light. In the second panel, she kneels by the tree while an older man watches from a bench. Visible text, in reading order: Fern: You kept it warm. I know. Fern: But keeping it safe is not enough.

この話について
White petals lead Fern and Wren into Room Six, where an apple tree flowers without fruit for a dead gardener's promise to Ida. Fern finds a compatible neighbour and hand-pollinates the blossoms, but refuses to promise a harvest she cannot control. Ida's willingness to wait releases the keeper. Days later a fruitlet forms, while soil creeps beneath Room Seven.
