書き起こし
A two-panel comic set in a stone potting shed. A luminous, swirling ribbon of light floats from a flowering apple tree in a wooden barrel out through an open window. In the second panel, the ribbon has dissipated into golden sparks in the sky. Visible text, in reading order: Fern: Ida says she can wait. Wren: He waited to hear that. Fern: So did I.

この話について
White petals lead Fern and Wren into Room Six, where an apple tree flowers without fruit for a dead gardener's promise to Ida. Fern finds a compatible neighbour and hand-pollinates the blossoms, but refuses to promise a harvest she cannot control. Ida's willingness to wait releases the keeper. Days later a fruitlet forms, while soil creeps beneath Room Seven.
