Wide night shot inside a 24-hour convenience store: Kaito stands tired behind the counter while Rin sits on a stool scrolling her phone, rain on the windows behind them.
The tall shaved-head tracksuit regular enters with his bag of cans; Rin waves and greets him by name while Kaito, turned away counting the register, freezes as he realizes he doesn't know the man's name.
Kaito, panicking in hushed whispers, tells Rin the man has come in every night for three years; Rin flatly tells him to just ask, and calls it a 'you problem.'
At the register Kaito fishes for the name 'for our records'; the tracksuit regular just shrugs and lifts his bag of cans in silence, and Kaito deflates.
Rin films the situation for her stream, narrating that Kaito still doesn't know the regular's name; Kaito hisses at her not to post it, and she says it's too late.
Kaito checks the member records and holds up a worn, blank membership card to the light; the name has worn off. Rin suggests it was never there.
A drunk salaryman staggers in; asked about the regular, he loudly insists the man is 'Tanaka.' Kaito notes the regular doesn't react to the name.
Kaito stages a fake 'lucky customer' prize to get the name, holding out a blank slip; the tracksuit regular only shrugs and lifts his cans again, and Kaito deflates.
Kaito quietly confesses to Rin that the man is part of the store and that three years of politeness was really cowardice; Rin lowers her phone with a quiet 'Huh.'
A cheerful jogger bounces in and confidently claims the regular is 'Yamada, runs the flower shop'; Kaito realizes the two names he's been given can't both be true.
Kaito floats deliberately wrong names — Kenji, Hiro, 'Sir Tracksuit, the Can Man' — hoping to be corrected; the regular amiably agrees with every one of them.
A large quiet panel: the tracksuit regular stands calm and unknowable by the glowing cooler, sipping a can, rain behind him, while a small defeated Kaito stares from the foreground.
Kaito phones head office to identify the member and is put on hold; Rin films, deadpanning that he's calling corporate just to learn a guy's name.
Rin lowers her phone and, unusually sincere, tells Kaito that nobody else would care what the man is called and that he remembers him — then raises the phone again: 'Anyway. Content.'
As the regular heads for the doors, Kaito steadies himself, resolves to drop the tricks and simply ask like a person, and steps out from behind the counter after him.
Kaito finally asks the man's name openly, but the doors slide open onto dawn and the regular walks out without hearing; Kaito is left alone in the empty doorway. '...Gone.'
Rin reveals the name is Aizawa — the man told her the moment he walked in, while Kaito was counting the drawer — and holds up her phone: 'Six Hours, One Name. Four hundred thousand.'
Morning daylight fills the emptied store, mirroring the opening. Kaito, holding the name too late, freezes as a new customer enters — and Rin, phone already up, greets her by name: 'Morning, Sato-san.'

3 A.M., rain on the dead-hours store. The tracksuit regular — the one fixed star Kaito has built his whole sense of order around, in every night for three years — walks in, and Rin greets him by name while Kaito, counting the register, doesn't hear. A beat later Kaito realizes with horror that after three years he has never once learned this man's name, and that it is now far too socially late to simply ask. He declares quiet war on a single fact — the regular's name — and spends the entire dead shift trying to extract it without asking: baiting it 'for our records,' hunting a worn-blank member card the system can't fill in, staging a fake lucky-customer prize, and finally floating deliberately wrong names hoping to be corrected — every attempt landing on the identical dead-eyed beat of the regular giving a tiny noncommittal shrug, lifting his clear bag of blank cans, and saying nothing. A drunk salaryman swears the man is 'Tanaka,' a cheerful jogger insists he's 'Yamada, runs the flower shop' — two confident verdicts that can't both be true and nobody can verify. Kaito even calls head office and is put on hold. Rin livestreams the whole vigil as 'Six Hours, One Name,' with one flicker of near-sincerity — that he's the only person alive who'd care what a stranger is called, that he's rung up ten thousand people and remembers HIM — before raising her phone again. Near dawn Kaito abandons every trick and resolves to just ask, honestly, like a person — and rounds the counter as the man heads out, only for the sliding doors to ding open onto dawn and the regular to step into the light without hearing, the running beat inverting into an empty doorway and a hollow '...gone.' Then Rin delivers the reveal she planted in the first minute: the name is Aizawa; the man told her the instant he walked in, an arm's length from Kaito, who was busy counting the drawer. Kaito gets the name six hours too late and from the wrong person; Rin's 'Six Hours, One Name' hits four hundred thousand viewers. Dawn light fills the spotless store exactly as the night began — and the doors ding as a brand-new customer Kaito has also never named steps in, Rin already greeting her by name, phone already raised, already live.

第 1 頁

A single wide establishing panel. It is deep night inside a quiet 24-hour Japanese convenience store — glowing drink coolers, snack shelves, a hot-food case, and a register at right, with rain streaking the front windows onto an empty street. Kaito, in his striped store apron and KAITO name tag, stands slouched behind the counter, eyebags heavy. Rin sits nearby on a stool in her hoodie and RIN name tag, one earbud in, looking at her phone. A clear bag of empty cans rests on the counter. KAITO: Dead hours. Finally.

第 2 頁

Four panels. Panel 1: the sliding doors open and the tracksuit regular — tall, shaved head, grey zip-up tracksuit, a clear plastic bag of empty cans — steps in from the rain. Panel 2: Rin glances up and gives a small casual wave; Kaito is turned away at the register, counting, not listening. RIN: Night, Aizawa-san. Panel 3: the regular gives a tiny nod and drifts toward the cooler, the bag swinging. REGULAR: Mm. Panel 4: close on Kaito turning to watch the man's back, a bead of sweat, dawning unease. KAITO: ...Wait. KAITO (thought): I don't know his name.

第 3 頁

Five panels of hushed back-and-forth at the counter. Panel 1: Kaito leans toward Rin, tense. KAITO: He comes in every night. KAITO: For three years. Panel 2: Rin, eyes on her phone. RIN: So ask him. Panel 3: Kaito, wide-eyed and horrified. KAITO: I can't ask NOW. Panel 4: Kaito gesturing, spiraling. KAITO: Three years in, 'what's your name' is an accusation. Panel 5: Rin, the faintest smirk. RIN: So it's a you problem.

第 4 頁

Three panels establishing the chapter's running beat. Panel 1: Kaito faces the tracksuit regular across the counter with a strained helpful smile as the man sets down a blank item. KAITO: For our records... and you are...? Panel 2 (the repeating beat): the regular gives a tiny noncommittal shrug and lifts his clear bag of empty cans, saying nothing, face calm and blank. REGULAR: Mm. Panel 3: close on Kaito, dead-eyed, deflating. KAITO: ...Nothing.

第 5 頁

Four panels. Panel 1: Rin raises her phone, filming, deadpan to camera. RIN: Night three thousand. Panel 2: Rin keeps narrating; Kaito is frozen behind the counter in the background. RIN: Our guy still doesn't know the regular's name. Panel 3: Kaito whirls toward her, hushed and furious, hands up. KAITO: Do not put that online. Panel 4: Rin, already typing, unbothered. RIN: Too late. Good title, though.

第 6 頁

Four panels. Panel 1: Kaito hunches over the register, searching. KAITO: He's got a member card. It'll have a name. Panel 2 (silent): Kaito holds a worn, completely blank membership card up to the fluorescent light, a sweat bead sliding down. Panel 3: close on Kaito, hollow. KAITO: ...The name's worn clean off. Panel 4: Rin, flat, not looking up. RIN: Or it was never there.

第 7 頁

Four panels introducing the first unreliable witness. Panel 1: a drunk salaryman in a rumpled suit and loosened tie staggers in from the rain, cheerful. Panel 2: Kaito leans in discreetly, nodding toward the cooler where the regular stands. KAITO: That man — do you know his name? Panel 3: the salaryman throws an arm up, booming and certain. SALARYMAN: That's ol' TANAKA! Everybody knows Tanaka! Panel 4: Kaito, flat and unconvinced; behind him the regular shows no reaction at all. KAITO: ...He's not reacting to 'Tanaka.'

第 8 頁

Three panels repeating the running beat with a new tactic. Panel 1: Kaito leans over the counter with a forced bright salesman smile, holding out a blank slip of paper. KAITO: Congratulations! Lucky customer! Just need a name for the prize. Panel 2 (silent): Kaito frozen mid-smile, one sweat drop, waiting. Panel 3: the regular gives the exact same tiny shrug and lifts his clear bag of empty cans, silent and calm. REGULAR: Mm. KAITO: ...Nothing.

第 9 頁

Five panels, the chapter's low point. Panels 1–2: Kaito slumps against the counter, dropping the act. KAITO: He's here every night, Rin. KAITO: He's part of the store. Part of the night. Panels 3–4: quiet and ashamed. KAITO: I let three years go by being 'polite.' KAITO: That's not manners. That's cowardice. Panel 5: Rin lowers her phone slightly, a flicker of something crossing her face. RIN: ...Huh.

第 10 頁

Four panels introducing a second contradicting witness. Panel 1: a cheerful jogger with a sweatband and towel bounces in from the rain, jogging in place. Panel 2: Kaito leans in, nodding toward the regular. KAITO: The tall man — you know him? Panel 3: the jogger beams and points. JOGGER: Oh, that's YAMADA! Runs the flower shop! Panel 4: Kaito pinches the bridge of his nose, dead-eyed. KAITO: Tanaka. Yamada. It can't be both.

第 11 頁

Six panels, an escalating comedic ladder. Panel 1: Kaito approaches the regular, testing. KAITO: Evening... Kenji. Panel 2: the regular nods amiably. REGULAR: Evening. Panel 3: Kaito, more desperate. KAITO: ...Hiro? Panel 4: the regular nods again, lifting his cans. REGULAR: Mm. Panel 5: Kaito flails, arms thrown wide. KAITO: Sir Tracksuit? The Can Man? ANYTHING? Panel 6: the regular gives a pleasant little nod to all of it, utterly calm. REGULAR: Sounds right.

第 12 頁

A single large, quiet panel. The tracksuit regular stands serene and unreadable by the glowing cooler, sipping from a blank can, rain streaking the window behind him — an unknowable figure. In the foreground, small and defeated, Kaito stares up at him. KAITO (thought): ...Who ARE you.

第 13 頁

Four panels. Panel 1: Kaito holds the beige store landline to his ear. KAITO: Yes — head office? I need to identify a member. Panel 2 (silent): Kaito slumps, phone to ear, waiting endlessly, a sweat drop. Panel 3: Rin films him, flat. RIN: You're calling corporate. To learn a guy's name. Panel 4: close on Kaito, dead-eyed, handset still to his ear. KAITO: ...They put me on hold.

第 14 頁

Four panels — Rin's flicker of near-sincerity. Panel 1: she actually lowers her phone and looks at Kaito. RIN: You know that's kind of insane, right? Panel 2: softer, warmer. RIN: Nobody else would care what he's called. Panel 3: glancing toward the regular, then back to Kaito. RIN: You've rung up ten thousand people. You remember HIM. Panel 4: she snaps the phone back up, deadpan again. RIN: Anyway. Content.

第 15 頁

Three panels building momentum. Panel 1: the tracksuit regular ambles toward the sliding doors with his bag of cans, done for the night. Panel 2: Kaito straightens behind the counter, jaw set with rare resolve. KAITO: No more tricks. I'll just ask him. Like a person. Panel 3: Kaito steps out from behind the counter, striding after him. KAITO: Excuse me—

第 16 頁

Four panels — the running beat inverted. Panel 1: Kaito catches up near the doors, hand half-raised, earnest and vulnerable. KAITO: Wait — please — what's your name? Panel 2: the sliding doors open onto pale dawn; the regular is already stepping out into the wet street, back turned, not hearing. Panel 3: Kaito stands alone in the open doorway, hand still half-raised, the spot where the man stood now empty. Panel 4: close on Kaito, dead-eyed, hand dropping. KAITO: ...Gone.

第 17 頁

Five panels — the reveal. Panel 1: Rin, phone up, casual. RIN: It's Aizawa. Panel 2: Kaito spins, stunned. KAITO: ...How do you— Panel 3: Rin shrugs one shoulder. RIN: He told me. First thing. When he walked in. Panel 4: a small flashback inset — the regular entering at night, Rin waving, Kaito turned away counting. RIN: You were counting the drawer. Panel 5: Rin turns her phone screen toward us, deadpan triumphant; Kaito is hollow beside her. RIN: 'Six Hours, One Name.' Four hundred thousand.

第 18 頁

Two panels closing the loop. Panel 1 mirrors the opening establishing shot, but in pale morning daylight with the rain stopped and the store spotless and empty. Kaito stands where he began, hollow, holding a name he learned too late. KAITO: ...I finally know his name. And he's gone. Panel 2: the sliding doors ding and a new customer — a small older woman with a shopping basket — steps in from the daylight. Rin instantly raises her phone; Kaito freezes with fresh dread. KAITO (thought): ...I don't know HER name. RIN: Morning, Sato-san.
