대본

Momo drops to one knee and presses a hand flat against a bare floorboard just past the edge of the light, glaring at the line where the gold ends and the plain wood begins. The golden patch is smaller again, pulled toward the window. MOMO: 'It reached here a breath ago. The theft is happening NOW.'

High-angle view of Momo down on one knee, pressing one mitten-cuffed hand flat on a bare floorboard just beyond the edge of the golden sunlight, magnifying glass in the other hand, glaring at the boundary line. The sunbeam is smaller and pulled toward the window.

이 챕터에 대해

Late afternoon at the Tiny Case Agency, the warm patch of sunlight on the floor is shrinking — and Momo is certain a light-thief is dragging the daylight out the window inch by inch. She measures the theft, stalks the retreating gold across the room, clears a sleeping Biscuit, and finally corners the last sliver on the windowsill and pounces — just as it winks out at dusk. Ganta tells her on page five that the sun is going down. She hushes him and chases it anyway. Unable to admit the sun simply set, Momo declares the thief escaped with the daylight and vows the agency will recover every drop tomorrow, then falls asleep in the blue dusk. Ganta delivers the verdict once she is out: the sun set — it comes back on its own.
