Page 13. A wide closing panel, the same slightly high angle and framing as page 1. The clubroom is quiet again — same desk, boxes, corkboard, mini-fridge, folding chair and square window — with the closed loop of pale dusty boot-prints still ringing the centre of the room. Momo lies flat out asleep on the floorboards inside the ring, coat pooled around her, eyes closed in happy curves, hugging her magnifying glass. Biscuit dozes in her open box at the centre of the ring, and Ganta sits on the boxes with his juice box, looking down at the sleeping detective and delivering the true verdict now that nobody is awake to argue. GANTA: 'You walked in a circle.'
圖片說明
Wide closing view matching the opening: the chibi girl lies fast asleep on the clubroom floor inside a ring of pale dusty boot-prints, hugging her magnifying glass. A chibi boy in a mint-green cat-ear hoodie sips his juice box on the boxes and looks down at her; a round white cat dozes in the open box at the centre of the ring.
關於本章
Momo spots a trail of pale dusty boot-prints on the clubroom floor and declares that an intruder is circling the Tiny Case Agency. She follows the tracks around the room, magnifying glass out — and each lap she is certain there are MORE of them, a whole gang closing the ring. Ganta tells her on page five that they are her own boots. She hushes him and keeps circling, adding fresh prints with every step, until the trail loops right back to the two little boots on her own feet. Unable to admit she spent the afternoon chasing herself, Momo declares she surrounded the gang and drove them off, closes the case, and falls asleep inside the ring of prints. Ganta delivers the verdict once she is out: she walked in a circle.
